We Must Go To Space

Feb. 5, 2017, noon

Those who say space isn't worth it are as wrong as they could possibly be. The possibility of high yield solar energy, new sources of water, and an escape for when Earth can no longer support man are all within the grasp of our current technology. My opinion is that humanity needs to go to space. If we worked toward any type of space exploration like the Egyptians did toward the pyramids humanity would be already be among the stars. Government regulation, concerns about safety, and a general passiveness in today's society are all dragging humanity's future in space down. In this endeavor, people will die, but the benefits that would be wrought from the wealth of knowledge we would find is worth any cost; money or otherwise. In the end, it doesn't matter if space becomes the bad lands, it doesn't matter if it's just anarchy, it doesn't matter if it's constant warfare; we need to go to space. We need to find the answers to our most fundamental questions.

No cost is too steep. No life is too valuable. No method is too immoral.

We must go to space.
